By Proxy, a short written by Cassie Hamer. A publication that encapsulates the journey of a young woman on her way to an unknown and new life.
The design and journey through this short publication were to reflect the feelings of the eerie unknown across the ocean. I selected and drew ocean and land imagery in colours that are unnatural to represent the main characters' vision of land she doesn't know nor speak the language of. The articles of transparent cut paper interweaved represent the water she travels across and the continuing disillusion she is feeling about her new life.
